I was wondering, and this may be something that is at the discretion of individual lenders, but as a general rule do you have to start paying off your undergrad loans if you haven't started law school yet or is being in the application process enough to defer? I finished undergrad this past May and am in the process of applying to schools for next fall.
Normally, I'd have to start making payments next month. I was just wondering if deferring was an option in this case where your intent to continue on in school has been established?

Re: Paying UG Loans Even Though Applying?
You have to start making payments after the grace period (applying does nothing for you), but once you start law school you can defer the payments again.
