want the scholarship committee to consider financial need?
the chicago app asks this...does anyone know if this can work against me, ie the scholarship committee decides I don't have any need and decides not to award me merit money either? or can it only work for me?

I have the same question- I'm filling out forms for Duke (admitted) and it asks if I want to be considered for need based aid as well, or just merit.
