Changing your grad plus award

Post by daesonesb » Sun Aug 01, 2010 2:23 pm

Does anyone on here have experience with changing their gradplus award? My loans have been disbursed to my school, so I'm guessing I will end up paying an origination fee... but is it as easy as calling your school and asking them to adjust the amount?

I am also interested in the answer to this question, seeing as this year's tuition amounts weren't released until after I had applied for my Grad Plus.

Yes. Contact the law schools financial aid office. If the school still has the money the can adjust it. If they paid it out to you they will give you their procedure for returning whatever portion you don't need. Also, if you return the money with I think 3 months you don't pay the oringation fee or interest. That is on your MPN. But first contact fin aid

Excuse any grammar problems. Posting from phone
