I was awarded the staff sub, staff unsub, and the grad plus by the school. My question is when I accept the grad plus, do I still have to pass the credit check, or did I already pass it?

Since new legislation is mandating that such loans all be direct lender loans by this fall, you should be good to go. However, I'm a little suspicious of things being that simple, so I'd encourage you to call the school you'll be attending and ask. Getting it direct from the source is always the safest solution, and at least at my school, I've found the financial aid staff to be incredibly helpful in answering questions.
