Federal Sub/Unsub and Graduate Plus

Post by mugrad06 » Tue Mar 30, 2010 4:48 pm

Quick question, I got my financial info for one school I applied to and all that is listed is Direct Subsidized Loan and their max is 8,500. Well no unsubsidized is listed. The Graduate Plus Loan is listed as well and it is for the amount of the rest of my total COA. Granted my total COA isn't high (instate school) but how come I wasn't offered any unsubsidized loan? Anyone else had this happen?

Call the financial aid office. No one on here can tell you because we don't know your EFC or your schools COA, nor do we know your schools calculations for determining aid.

They changed it. It was suppose to be unsubsidized and they have no idea why it was listed as a Graduate Plus, although it was to be offered as well.

as for my COA - its only 24,000 or so (im considered instate, that's why I didn't want to take the Grad Plus if I didn't have to)
