FAFSA for schools I have not got into yet Forum

Im sure this is a stupid question, but I know FAFSA is due March 1st and Im not sure what to do about schools I havent got accepted at yet. How does that work?

you can fill out your FAFSA for up to 9 schools. its totally normal for you to send financial aid information to schools you haven't gotten into yet. its not going to hurt anyone and its better to be safe than sorry.

WHOA wait a minute... FAFSA has passed already? I saw some June deadline... please clue me in

BTW I missed a state deadline so what does that mean? Totally cluelss

school set deadlines (priority deadlines) so they can guarantee to give a package by a certain time (before tuition due). if you miss that you may not be able to get aid to your account before tuition due. So sooner the better even if after deadline.

The June is the Federal deadline for filing the form but that is in the FOLLOWING year. To file 2010-2011 FAFSA you have until June of 2011 to file.
