FAFSA and Tax Extensions

I'm abroad, and AFAIK, FAFSA needs me to file taxes. I will not be able to file taxes until July, as I am trying to get a full yr under my belt to qualify for foreign tax exemption. By doing so, legally, I am saving myself a few hundred in taxes. What I am wondering is if I wait that long to file, what will happen to my FAFSA?

You can file a FAFSA without having filed your taxes, if that helps. There is an estimation calculator for your AGI/taxes.
