Okay,
I've been searching for numbers and will continue to do so. What I am trying to find out is what percent of law students are Yellow Ribbon eligible.
The reason this can be important is because many of us are applying to schools that offer the program but to only a select few students, so my question is realistically what are the odds that I can get that financial aid?
Right now I am looking at St. Thomas Minneapolis, but they only offer the money to three students. This is on a first come first served basis. If I knew my odds were good of me getting the money I would probably attend as it is close to home, otherwise I may opt out and go somewhere else where I know I'd have more tuition covered/better school.
I think any information on this could help a lot of people with this same decision.

I think they are good, I have the chance to snag an open spot at a school but I'm still hesitant as I am waiting to hear back from a couple more.

this info is not widely available and is definitely school-specific
you will want to send an email to the VA rep at each school you're interested in and see what comes back

I found out recently from Northwestern that you have to be certified 100% eligible for the 9/11 GI Bill to receive YR money

I actually have to a couple schools, and I'm getting blocked trying to get this information from the financial aid offices there. Seems no one wants to release those numbers.sufjan wrote:this info is not widely available and is definitely school-specific

Edit: How about this, anyone have a rough estimate of how many veterans are in a typical law class? Since the number they give is per annum that means we would just need to know how many veterans are in a typical law school entering year.
