No $ for me, not at all surprised as I am below the LSAT median. I asked for the application, wrote a good essay and told them about some full rides I have at lower schools, seems like it made no difference.

Guess I'll be banking on the new federal Income Based Repayment plan (http://www.finaid.org/loans/publicservice.phtml) to limit the damage to $60,000.

I would advise anyone considering government work who is afraid of the prospect of paying full tuition for GULC to check the link. Based on my reading of this, it should make everything affordable even without LRAP.

In all fairness, they probably don't expect you guys would go even with a full scholarship anyway. I remember reading about someone last semester, I think it was rabbit who emailed them asking to be reconsidered and they asked her how much it would take her to go and she said a full ride. Long story short, they granted it but now she's at Yale and I'm sure GULC wasn't too happy about that cause they could've used that full ride to grab 2 other people who could've boosted their stats.

I suspect this as well, which is why I'm expecting an alternate placing...but it's pretty hard to accurately convey an interest in a school that has lower numbers, because this whole industry, including the students, are focused on stats.

Yeah, I tried to walk the line between "I love you, Georgetown," and "Please give me money or else I'll go to Harvard." I thought it would hurt my chances if I sounded TOO enthusiastic. Guess I should have gone with a little more love, a little less threat. I was just wondering if I could write a letter of continuing interest to the scholarship people? Maybe I'll try what rabbit did, and emphasize that I don't want to screw them over.

I'm wondering if those of us who have yet to receive the alternate/reject e-mail will receive another 11th hour e-mail both congratulating us on being awarded a scholarship but asking for another day in order to figure out how much each of us will be offered.

I've gotten nothing yet. Just got home from work, was all anxious... and nothing. Oh well, if they give me what I want, they can take as long as they need.

Although on second thought, our e-mail from yesterday did arrive at around 3:30pm EST.
