Hi folks,
I don't know if this has been discussed on this board so if this is redundant, I apologize. With all the advice on TLS about reasons to not attend law school, I thought that I would post a referral to this article which gives some reasons why African Americans are needed in the profession. I do think that those considering attending law school should fully consider the implications of the debt load and the job prospects, especially depending on what school you attend. That being said, I hope that the heightened financial risk does not prevent more African Americans from attending which would worsen the already bad situation of few African Americans in the legal profession.

Very relevant. How much worse will these disparities be if AA is repealed? Really disgusts me.

Why is it impossible to imagine a white prosecutor being sufficiently angry over a racial injustice?
Marilyn Mosby assigned a white lawyer (Michael Schatzow) to the prosecution.

I mean the outcomes of legal proceedings clearly show that there's an abundance of white prosecutors who are. That's why African-American incarceration rates are so low.curious bobcat wrote:Why is it impossible to imagine a white prosecutor being sufficiently angry over a racial injustice?
