Hi everyone,
I'm half Native American and half Mexican, so I definitely qualify as a URM. I just got my LSAT score back, a 167, and I have a GPA of 3.72 at my current undergraduate institution, but I transferred from a school where I had a hard science major (I've since switched to a social science) and a worse GPA. If my calculations are right, I should have a 3.4 cumulative GPA after LSAC's conversions.
I'm facing the same problem with all the schools I want to apply to (NYU>Uchicago>UPenn>Northwestern); my expected LSAC GPA (I'm waiting until after Fall 2015 grades come out to send my transcripts) is below the 25th percentile, but my LSAT is within the middle 50%. I was wondering whether I should continue applying to these schools and hope that being a URM and having good softs would be able to get me in? Is there any helpful data on this?
I've also signed up for an LSAT retake in October since I was doing better on PTs than I did the day of the test. I didn't get much sleep before the test and want to pin it on that, but of course it's too late to change anything.

What is your question? If being a URM will help you in admissions? Yes, it will. And you probably have a good shot at most of those schools. There is plenty of helpful data on this. I like lawschoolnumbers.

Thanks for the encouragement. I know it helps get over the hill if someone has stats that are within the normal range for the target school, but I was wondering if it's enough to make up for being below 25th in either category (obv specifically GPA).
