Any Colombian applicants URM?
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone either is/or knows of any Colombian applicants and know how they fared in admissions
I know TLS advice is only some categories of Hispanic Americans will get a URM boost ( Colombian probably not but wanted to hear directly from a Colombian applicant )

Apply then come back and tell us how you fared
But tbh i think the MA/PR boost that once existed is not as strong as it used to be because LSAC now categorizes MAs as being Latino/Hispanic. Anecdotally, non-MA latinos with similar numbers as mine got into the same schools with similar $$$.

That's not telling us too much though. Were you below medians? Are you saying you all outperformed the expected results if you weren't URMs?
Obviously - if u all had 4.0 180s then of course you guys all did well.

Re: Any Colombian applicants URM?
Are you black/African descended Colombian? More importantly, do you identify as black/African descended? If yes to both of those, then you are a URM.
EDIT: Also, as other posters have mentioned, you may still get a boost for being hispanic/latino at other schools. However, traditionally only the following are URMs:
(1) MA
(2) PR
(3) Native American
(4) Black/African American

Not black/African American, only Colombian
I wonder if I would still get a Hispanic boost even though I am not MA or PR

Potentially, but there's no way to know for sure or to be able to reliably bank on it.
