Personal Statement and Diversity Statement in One?
Hey all! I wrote a personal statement, and while I feel I touched on some diversity issues (LGBT/POC) I think I did not really address issues of poverty as much as I think they impacted me. Any thoughts on whether a diversity statement would be 'too much'? I can PM the personal statement first draft as it stands and would appreciate any thoughts! I feel like I have a lot to say hahaha but don't want to say too much!

Re: Personal Statement and Diversity Statement in One?
If I may provide some imput...
I am in the same position, as my personal statement speaks about my ethnicity and native american upbringing...but after consultation with a fellow NA and HYS law alum, it is more beneficial to write a personal statement that talks about something that has impacted you personally like an internship or job and how that makes you ready for a career in law. the diversity statement then is a separate essay intended to show how your background plays an important role in your future endeavors.
so in effect, you get two essays as an opportunity to make your application stand out even more as opposed to just one essay.
