AA Female 159/ 3.092 Advice
I submitted all of my applications two days ago. I applied to Georgetown ED. Is this a poor decision? Should I have instead tried for UVA ED? Or would it be better not to submit an ED application anywhere? My goal is to at least land somewhere in the t20.I want big law in DC, but I'd settle on NYC or Boston.

Is retaking not an option?

I took the Oct lsat(158) and Dec( 159). I'm not opposed to taking the February LSAT and could probably increase by 1 or 2 points, but would waiting for the score put me at a significant disadvantage?

I feel given the URM boost you'll receive you wouldn't even be out at CCN if you get your LSAT to upper 160's/low 170's. Your best course of action might be to wait out this cycle, dedicate 6 months of studying and take the June'14 LSAT, kill it and apply very early in next years cycle, potentially getting into much better schools. Also, unless you've locked yourself into that 3.1 I would take as many classes as you feasibly can and do everything in your power to increase it. Even getting it to a 3.2/3.3 (plus an increased LSAT) could be the difference between getting in/scholarship money or not getting in and actually getting in.
Good luck =)

Are you in-state Virginia? You have almost no chance, even with ED. Georegetown is not worth 300k. Don't ED there unless your parents are millionaires.

My first score was in the 150s. I ended up in the high 160s so it's definitely possible to improve substantially! I really encourage you to invest time (and money if you have it) in your studying.
