no place worth applying to with that 161 and you know it, hence the retake. I would wait to send out the apps. Most schools will sit on making a decision if they see you have a dec lsat score pending anyway. No point in sending it over with that blaring 161. I would focus heavily on that lsat prep at the moment, and then immediately start finalizing your apps the day after you sit for the exam so you can hit submit. Best of luck.

I second this. Schools will wait to see your Dec. score to make the final decision.

From speaking with deans of admissions at the Atlanta LSAC forum, there's a definite advantage to applying early just to hold your place in line. Admissions committees will consider you in the order you applied, so just mark that you're retaking the LSAT in December and submit ASAP. I heard "the early bird gets the worm!" too often last Saturday to think they were just messing with my head.

I think it has to do with when your application goes complete, not just when you submit.

You're in a good place right now just ace the LSAT this weekend (or next weekend idk) and you will be fine applying in mid january -early february. schools wont take you just because you apply early, and its not even that early anymore... if they like your scores, they will take u even after april or may.
