Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and fairly new to researching the whole law school admissions game. I have not taken the LSAT yet - would be looking to do so in June. I'm just curious about what kind of score I would need to get to have a good chance at a top 6 law school? Do MA males get a URM boost, or would I still need to get in the 75th percentile of a school to have a good shot?
Background:
Mexican American
Male
Graduated from a top 5 undergrad in 2010
3.91 GPA, Phi Beta Kappa, typical honors stuff
post-graduation: 3 years of working, first in consulting then in marketing. wrote, directed, produced 3 super low budget short films in 2012 (so... nothing special, but hopefully nothing that will detract?)
In general, I would say my non-GPA/LSAT factors aren't going to be very special or outstanding.
Thanks for any feedback!

A 163 or so would probably get you in to most of the T14, 165 would give you a solid shot at Harvard, 167-169 gets you into Stanford, and 170+ is Yale.
Go check out the stickies at the top of this forum -- people are not going to be super responsive towards you until you have a real LSAT score.

I'm a 169/3.9 MA, check out my cycle in my profile if you want to see what that's doing for me. Shoot for 170+ and you'll be a lock at almost everywhere, IMO. As far as T6 is concerned, I've landed NYU & just received the Harvard JS1 last week, good luck to you!!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to the process and figuring out if this is the right move for me at this time, and I greatly appreciate any advice thrown my way.
And Teflon, congrats on getting into some great schools.

Just do the best you can.
Try not to take your URM boost into consideration while preparing for the LSAT.
