Re: MA female, 160, 3.84... Chances?

There was an MA applicant that got into Columbia last cycle with a 160. I would urge you to study more and retake in December, but even if not, I think you'll be okay.

I really want to retake but im scare of it harming me more then hurting. I took a 3+ month test masters course to study, and for 3-4 months before was putting in 15-20 hrs/wk of studying, and the last 1-2 months puting in 25-30 hrs/wk.

Also, i was PTing at 159-161, with one random 170. originally i was PTing at low 150s cold. i pretty much took every single practice test I could, 12+ from the last 5 years (every test that TM didn pull Qs from) I took 2 or more a week for over a month. I am happy that I didnt drop 2 or 3 points below my PTs cus it seems like most people do their firs time.. I wasnt expecting to get a magic bump on test day.

In the end, after not studying for a month or more and after rigorously studying for months i dont think i can improve much within 3 weeks, and im scared id do worse. and even if i did it would be hard to tell because i dont have any new PT to check my progress with. timing is my major problem. i NEVER finish a single section, always guess on 3-5 Qs per section. My accuracy is really high tho.

idk. u still think i should retake?
