Scoring median or above at those schools will give you a decent chance. The fact that you believe you can likely raise your score by taking the test in October answers your own question. October is perfectly on time, as long as the rest of your app is together.

Sounds like you are likely to do really well on test day (164+). Good luck!!
Retaking in Oct shouldnt be off the table even if you do great in June though. Stay sharp!!
D)You already have a year off till you start! what are you going to do in it!? (Not sure if you are going to be a senior in college or already graduated)...If your cycle doesnt go how you want, then take a year off [and do something constructive and interesting]...

A decent chance? WTF are you talking about? With a 170, you're easily into CCN with $$$.Nova wrote:Scoring median or above at those schools will give you a decent chance. I dont think its wise to count on waltzing in anywhere one is below both medians. OP said they were PTing around 165, which is what I was going off.
If OP applys across the board with 3.6/165, they will get some acceptances. Every additional point will make a huge difference.
URMS like OP:
3.6/165 In at Berkley and UT
3.61/165 Attending BC with 90k, WL/R at T14
3.64/166 In across the board
3.62/168 Harvard
3.62/168 Choosing between Columbia and Berkley, in across the board

What score do you think I'll need for Stanford?
How about Harvard?

Stanford will be harder to pull off with that GPA. Not impossible, just saying.
My guess would be H with a 171. CCN$ with a 168-170.
Good luck. Don't stress too much, you're obviously in a pretty good place regardless.

Re: PR Male- T14 Outlook?
Stanford will "break" their GPA floor of 3.7 for URMs, but those said URMs are going to need some pretty impressive LSAT numbers to make up for it. Honestly, I wouldn't count on it. Judgement call about waiting a year -- personally, I wouldn't, but that's more something you have to decide.
A lot of people get S and H and end up going for H anyway. It's not like they're a TTT school now that they've shamefully dropped to 3rd in this year's rankings. I say give it your best shot, and be prepared to take the best offer you get.
