Held or Accepted at Columbia!

Post by Aqua » Tue Feb 28, 2012 4:16 pm

Hey! Wanted to make a thread for URMs that are interested in Columbia. Hopefully this can be a place for the held/still waiting/reserve people to share support and for the accepted people to give feedback on how to up our chances.

Hope everyone is having a good cycle!

Accepted mid Feb. but trying not to get too excited about it until they release fin-aid decisions...when I think about Columbia at sticker + cost of living in NYC I die a little bit inside.

That definitely sounds positive to me! If I may ask, submission dates/status/stats?

Hoping that they decide on URMs later in the cycle such that everyone on this thread will be accepted any day now.

I'm sub everything. 161/3.3 from a Top 10 university. And when it comes to standardized test scores, I'm usually sub but I always stand out in outside involvement. My softs are very strong and somewhat...unique for a future law student - think my avatar lol Also includes Masters degree and work experience (I'm 2 years out of UG).

Columbia, Cornell, UCLA, Yale - basically the places I want to attend lol seem to be pretty quiet on the URM front. Positive vibess!!
