I am puerto rican, do not speak spanish though, being a urm what does this mean for me, am I more likely to be accepted even though I could have lower grades than another applicant. More info about me is gpa 2.8 ( in the process of raising), no lsat yet, volunteer for aux police and senior service program and work part time. Schools I am interested in are Cuny Law, Rutgers- Newark possibly pace and hofstra.

Welcome to the fourm, it will be a bump but not a huge one. As of now you must do two things and two things only. GPA and LSAT. You will want to get your gpa up to at least 3.2 or 3.3 if you could make 3.4 that would be great. Also study study for the LSAT. Get the powerscore books and do lots of practice tests.
