This may sound kind of silly, but why ED when you can blanket the whole T14?

My GPA is killing me, and I figure my ceiling will be MVP through RD with no scholarship anyway. So may as well get a little bit of a guarantee. Of course it's speculation on my part, MA applicants on LSN are pretty limited.

It's not clear at all how ED affects URM chances. Very few URMs seem to ED because they have unpredictable cycles (both good and bad). URMs are also much more likely to get scholarships RD, which ED sort of eliminates.
