From what I've learned, it does not hurt that much depending on where you are applying. If you score above a 160, you should be able to snag at least one t14 even if you apply late. Good luck.

I'm in a similar situation as well and posted a similar thread. Looking more at T-30, but I have similar numbers. Hopefully you can get your LSAT score up as well and send out a completed app in December as soon as scores get back. Good Luck on your cycle, I'm interested in hearing how it goes.

So long as your apps are ready to go by the time the scores come out, you should be fine. I consider late to be post Christmas

That brings up a question I've been meaning to ask....lsac website says december score email date is like January 6 think....will scores come out before or after Christmas?

It's clearly after Christmas if that's when the scores are posted. So the earliest you can apply is January.

Ok....I was just wondering because I know they typically release scores 2 or 3 days earlier for other tests like they did for October so I didn't know if they released them over a week early for December test or not
If anyone who has taken previous December test could chime in

I'm struggling with deciding whether to retake or not too. Mex Am. October LSAT was 167, lsdas gpa 3.16 (undergrad gpa is 3.9...big difference is due to me dropping my freshman classes but not actually dropping them...ended up with Fs that I later retook and got As in; straight As my last three years of undergrad).
I'm debating on whether to try for a 170+ in December. I just don't know if it is worth it since I would be applying much later. If I stick with the 167 I would be submitting my apps within the next week or two.
Decisions decisions.

To be honest, I don't think that you will be at a disadvantage when it comes to acceptance.. But if you are looking for scholarship money, that might be a different story.

Thanks for the sweet, kind words on my thread, gthopeful! I hope we both get into the schools of our dreams, despite being hard-pressed for time.
Also, in response to your question about December score release... they usually come around Christmas time, so it's not as late as people say. They only give such a long window to account for holidays, but they have *never* posted scores after the New Year.

There is hope for us yet!

Wait! I was wrong. The only time they posted scores after the New Year was last year, but that's because the test date was *so* late (the 11th of December).

Just like they never had the experimental after the break, right?Miss_Sunshine wrote:Thanks for the sweet, kind words on my thread, gthopeful! I hope we both get into the schools of our dreams, despite being hard-pressed for time.

Bahaha... TrojanHopeful, please don't remind me.
I actually know someone who skipped a section before the break because he had looked ahead (aka: cheated) and realized that the section *had* to be experimental. Let's just say it sucks to be him right now.

Re: AA urm 3.19 Retake in Dec. /disadvantage for applying late??
From my experience last cycle, it didn't make a difference with acceptances or even with scholarship money. I submitted all of my apps, had admissions at each school hold the app for the December score, had the retake in Dec. and chilled until ASWs.... Just one person's story, but anecdotal evidence that it didn't make a difference for an AA female.PersuasiveCharm wrote:To be honest, I don't think that you will be at a disadvantage when it comes to acceptance..
