Diversity Statement & Personal Statement

Post by DportIA » Mon Jul 11, 2011 1:00 pm

Hello all. Honest question here. My diversity statement uses a story-telling method in the present tense to tie in elements of my background to a story that explains my 'diverse background.'

Would using the story-telling technique for my personal statement make them both less effective, or should I just write my PS in the style that I have a knack for? Thank you.

That is too specific a judgment call for me to say without reading them. PM them to be if you want to swap. My gut reaction is using the same style will be less effective but not a big deal.
