I think that it all depends on which schools you're applying to. A 6 point jump is really good in the bigger scheme of things (*ahem* outside of TLS). If your new 160 falls within those medians and you don't have a detrimental GPA, your cycle should be better, I would think.

Re: Reapplying
When did your applications go in last year? What have you been doing in the interim?
I applied super late last year and was rejected by the handful of schools that I applied to. I retook the LSAT, rewrote my PS, and continued to work in my current job. So far I have been accepted to GULC, where I was denied last year. Still waiting to hear back from the others.

Same questions as previous poster, if you applied late last year that can probably account for the majority of your waitlists/rejections. I applied super late the past TWO cycles and only managed to get into BC with no money and eventually into USC off the waitlist. This year (with the same score, revised personal statement, and new but not very different/exciting job) I applied SUPER early and have already gotten into Harvard. I would think that a score bump and submitting your applications early will be enough for most schools to take a second look.

Re: Reapplying
Due to my subpar GPA---I have 5 years work experience---Law school predictor told me I was auto-deny to the entire top 20---5 schools that I was waitlisted at last year with a 154. Is LSP accurate for URMs??? Or was I just an anamoly last year?

LSP told me I was an auto deny for Michigan where I got in and almost attended in 09. Take it with a grain of salt. I didn't utilize any calculators last time and only did it this time because it seemed to be so popular on the boards.
I'm reapplying as well. I changed my school list a lot this time around though, so as of yet I haven't received any answers that would let me know that something changed from last cycle. I'm reapplying to schools where I was accepted last time and only two where I was waitlisted (UVA and Vandy). I went complete in January for all of my apps last time because I took the December LSAT after bombing the October test.
Early applications will probably have some positive effect on your cycle this time around, as well as the boost in score (I went up 8 points during my last cycle). Good luck to you!
