Puerto Ricans 2011 Cycle
Thought I would create this thread and see where all the Puerto Ricans are applying and how they are doing. URM cycles are always hard to predict.
Good luck to everyone

3.52 / 165 / Black PR Female
I'm a reapplicant (applied super late last cycle). Cut my list down from 14 schools to the following:
Harvard
Stanford
Columbia
NYU
Berkeley
Duke
Georgetown
UCLA
I hope this thread gets a lot of action...

Nice. We have similar numbers, so it'll be nice to see the different boosts male and female URMs get.

does PR get URM? i'm sorry--not so knowledgeable on who gets URM. if so, 5 points will prob be enough for NYU with your GPA.

You should consider broadening the scope of this topic to Mexican-American and PR 2011 cycle. More traffic and i'm pretty sure the boosts are roughly similar, or at least much closer together than AA or NA.

Yea, it counts. Make sure you blanket t-14 schools. Most likely you'll get into almost all schools less YHS, which you should apply anyway.gatorgirl4life wrote:does half PR count? i hope so!

Don't be so sure. Apply to NYU. Your LSAT is not too low for them. Especially with your GPA and being PR. Don't sell yourself short.kruiz88 wrote:Yea, PR is URM.
