AA Male/3.08/157-Chances? Forum

It's looking like University of Alabama. However I am also applyiing to Howard, Geogia State, Fordham, North Carolina, and Vanderbilt. I really want Vanderbilt. What are my chances at all of these schools and what else can I do to get into Vandy. I am in no way taking this test again. I feel good about succeeding at Alabama but I can't count out Howards job prospects and the fact that I really want Vandy. So help me out TLS!!!

If those are the only schools you are applying to I think you will get into most if not all of them. Have you taken the LSAT more than once? If you could take it again and break 160 you could get into a lot higher ranked schools.

Did you check any of the law school predictors? Even with URM status your gpa and LSAT score are low for vanderbilt and fordham.

Ya Predictor (hear it bad for URM) gives a >5% for both Fordham and Vandy so if you have the money shot a application

Thanks... I am applying to more schools just to see how things turn out. Some higher ranked and some lower, but I don't feel like studying for this test for a third time with finals coming up in a few weeks. Vandy is my dreams school but they don't have early decision. I signed up for the optional interview though and I am hoping it helps out. I know its a crapshoot for the top 14 but they say URM cycles are unpredicatable, so won't hurt to try. As long as I get into Alabama and Howard I will be fine. Anything better is just a plus. (Yes I know Howard is a TTT but they have great Job Placement.)

No chance at Fordham or Vandy but you should be a shoe in at the other schools you listed.

our stats are pretty similar (3.09 158). I'm also applying to AL. UC Davis is my target school. I'm retaking, though. I don't think I'll have a chance with a 158 and a GPA this low. Seriously, consider retaking
