Brief?- Diversity Statements?

Post by s0ph1e2007 » Thu Oct 28, 2010 6:25 pm

When a school suggests a brief diversity statement, are they asking for 1 page or is a 2 pg DS acceptable?
I have a 1 pg-er but it does a much poorer job explaining my background than the 2 pg-er

FYI this was brought on by Columbia app

somebody has an opinion on this... it's TLS: somebody is more likely to yell about information they dreamed up than stay cautiously quiet on this subject

One page. Columbia doesn't use the "brief" modifier in their personal statement directions, which have a two page "guideline," so I imagine the diversity statement should be shorter.

But wtf do I know.

1 page I think. If you need more than 1 page, make your PS focus on the issues you were going to touch on in your DS.
