When a school suggests a brief diversity statement, are they asking for 1 page or is a 2 pg DS acceptable?
I have a 1 pg-er but it does a much poorer job explaining my background than the 2 pg-er

One page. Columbia doesn't use the "brief" modifier in their personal statement directions, which have a two page "guideline," so I imagine the diversity statement should be shorter.s0ph1e2007 wrote:BUMP!

1 page I think. If you need more than 1 page, make your PS focus on the issues you were going to touch on in your DS.
