I need advise: please evaluate my stats and potential
Advise on where to apply and needed LSAT score?
LSAC GPA: 3.82
AA male late twenties under advantaged background
Ungrad institute: Ivy league (top 4 rank by usnews)
Undergrad major: Chemistry
Extra: 2 publication in chemistry, volunteer with needle exchange program, and local inner city high school tutoring
Award : Fellowship for study at Oxford
Grad: Oxford MSc Pharmacology, Honors in thesis and distinction for extended personal essay
Problem: went to top medical school in nation. Did not enjoy, painful treatment. Grades are good. Could not take hospital environment. left after three years w/masters of science
no paid work experience (significant research experience)
passion for writing
Exposure to law trough wife
Very interested in intellectual property law/patent law
Strong interest in Columbia and Stanford for intellectual property law
will apply top top 25
dream yale - because of flexible classwork
what are my chances? What numbers do i need on the LSAT? How many years of work experience before I apply? I have an offer from a consulting firm but i am thinking maybe the paralegal route to show more interest in the law.

A 160+ and you'd be in very good shape.
For Stanford / Columbia, around a 165 or so, I would think, but check LSN and see what similar applicants got.
Most importantly, apply early. Get everything lined up over the summer and be ready to roll as soon as they let you.
You're going to get in to some excellent schools if you rock the LSAT.

Score in 160+, and I would think you have a very good shot at HYS. Great grades + AA + Solid softs = win

Oh, I didn't see the AA male part. With all of that, you're clearly going to get 165+
Yale.

Do I need to work at a law office in order to show my dedication to law? If a score in the 160s will I have a shot at the top 10 schools (i.e. Stanford, Columbia).

Get high 160s and you're in everywhere.
But I assume you're going to get some questions about the shift from Med to Law, so being able to articulate those reasons could only be beneficial.
