Multiple Categories, What to Pick??

Post by th231 » Wed Feb 24, 2010 5:05 pm

Hello,

Anyone that could answer my question, would really appreciate it.

I am from Afghanistan, (located in south-central Asia), however, according to Wikipedia: "It is variously described as being located within Central Asia, South Asia, Western Asia, or the Middle East."

After reading some posts, I am aware that probably not URM, but was wondering which of the following categories would be most advantageous for me to pick (assuming I am minority and can choose amongst any of these): Other Caucasian/White, Middle Eastern, or Other Asian.

Thanks.

Western Asia and the Middle East are the same thing. South Asia is India. I would choose Middle Eastern, because that's what virtually all Americans would say Afghanis are.
