read2465 - I don't think cancelling your LSAT would have an effect on your JS1, however it might impact the timing of your JS2. With a higher score you would likely get a JS2 faster, but I would assume that if your stats/app are compelling enough to get a JS1 you should be fine. Plus I would avoid taking the LSAT if I had personal issues that might affect my performance.

So is it just me or is Harvard showing some major kindness to URMs this cycle with low-mid 160 LSATs and 3.5+ GPAs? This is amazing! Hope this continues on for next cycle. I hope all new admits in this thread are planning to visit Harvard's ASW. Please report back!

Any suggestions on negotiation for a school that offered no merit aid? I haven't heard from all my schools yet, but I assume the ones giving me the most substantial scholarships are already in. I was very interested in UCI but received no scholarship. Would using offers from high tier 1s to TT be useful for fishing out money? The school is definitely pushing sending in an intent to register, and I could not imagine going unless I had a nice scholarship offer.

I haven't heard from USC/USC, Georgetown, Cornell and NU, but I do not suspect I will get any money from them, or at least not much.

Are you AA Male? If so, you'll probably get the same money I got from USC (120k). Are numbers are identical. Don't submit an intent to UCI till you here back from USC and the t14s you applied to.

Yeah I am an AA male. Congrats on that 120k offer! I would be so excited if I was offered even half of that. I have been following your cycle extremely closely. I have pretty weak sorts though besides working full time as a student so I am not too optimistic on scholarship offers.

Here's hoping Harvard accepts every single one of them so that the rest of the T-14 has to dig a little bit deeper for the rest of us.

No you're totally right and it's a slight aberration from the last few cycles. The number of qualified AA candidates must be dipping big time, because there have been many AAs this cycle well below both 25ths to be accepted.

Also, congrats to new admits.

And for reference, to add to the numbers pool -

AA Female with 163 and 3.609 UGPA from a top public school. I also did the Peace Corps and had some other strong softs.
