Good stuff. I am from Houston and I love Texas, but I plan to stay in Virginia. Though an acceptance to UT with in-state tuition will make the decision a bit tougher.LuBru wrote:I submitted 11/20 - I'm really excited because it is my first West Coast(ish) admit (except for one big safety) and I've heard great things about the program and living in Austin.ksimon2007 wrote: Congrats! Austin native and UT alumnus here. If you have any questions about the university or Austin in general, feel free to ask. Also, I am definitely jelly! I would give up my T14 acceptances to attend UT. Congrats!LuBru wrote:I submitted 11/20 - I'm really excited because it is my first West Coast(ish) admit (except for one big safety) and I've heard great things about the program and living in Austin.ksimon2007 wrote: Congrats! Me either. I hope they aren't going to be too stingy with the financial aid.Fresh wrote:what was the Q & A? couldn't make the chattkgrrett wrote: it was definitely a bit disconcerting to get that response from a financial aid officer

Its a TTT anyways. I know people who got WL and/or rejected who got into multiple CCN if that makes you feel better. Unpredictable URM cycles and all that.LuBru wrote:I know, I know, it was bound to happen -just keeping my fingers crossed for all the rest! They rejected me too if it makes you feel better, hopefully it'll continue to my only one of the cycle.LuBru wrote:Out at UVA...my first reject of the cycle

Re: URM 2010-2011 Application Cycle
I had a JR1 this week.
Hoping for my Stanford App to go complete soon. I know my undergrads sent the forms so its just matter of waiting.

Yeah.. Had issues with the infamous Dean's form. If you call the office they sometimes fix the problem over the phone. Congrats on that JR1! I don't love the fact that it just makes you dream about Harvard more, though. The wait is killing me

Re: URM 2010-2011 Application Cycle
From what I've seen even UVA's URM admits have mostly been in-state. Their admissions process is impossible to figure out if you're OOS. Good luck with the rest of your cycle though!Non-Chalant1 wrote:They rejected me too if it makes you feel better, hopefully it'll continue to my only one of the cycle.LuBru wrote:Out at UVA...my first reject of the cycle
