Done. Got a 170 on my first shot! I think T-14 is a possibility :)

You sound like you're already PTing at a good place. Look through your October test and try to figure out what went wrong. A month should be enough to either maintain your PT average or increase it slightly. At that point it's mainly about going through test taking strategies to make sure that you execute on test day. As far as retakers go you're in a pretty good place, so don't panic.
If I retake, my apps won't get looked at until January--once URM spots fill up, that's it right? The boost is over. With the Supreme Court ruling kind of ambiguous I'm afraid of sitting out a cycle

So basically I'm fucked unless I want to go to G-town at sticker. Would you guys retake or just apply or sit out a cycle? With the
Yeah that 166 can get you further than you think. Retakes (even lower retakes) will rarely count against you.

Does anyone have any advice where I should apply? Should I try HYS? Or should I only reach up to Chicago?

Yes, absolutely.

Anyone: Is it best to push back? Is taking in December too late? I know most of the top schools don't decide on URMs in influx until March/April but wanted to know if this is something that shouldn't dissuade me from applying this cycle.

Also, do schools still review apps even if an applicant intends to retake? How should I make this known?

This is the only one I've taken but taking the December one only leaves me a month to study and doing one February is too late, no?

Didn't expect to do this bad... I don't even know what schools to apply to in this range.
El Principe, I forgot to add an acquaintance I met on here from last cycle - AA female - landed all of HYS with a 149 and 168 retake. 3.6ish GPA from an Ivy.
