And I went from being "Awwww, thanks!" to "Fuck you" to just ignoring people when they pull the whole "oh you're so smart, you can definitely write your own acceptance letter to any school."
Alternatively, start relying on the specialty rankings.
"Yeah, I mean, I thought about Yale, but I just couldn't pass up Santa Clara. They're ranked OODLES above Yale in Intellectual Property Law!"
Actual conversation:
Me: Mom I got into Yale!
Mom: That's great, honey! How will you ever decide?
Me: ... between that and Georgetown?
Mom: Such great schools.
Me: I'm going to Yale.
Mom: Well... don't decide too quickly

Speaking of specialty rankings, I took one of those quizzes about what kind of law I should practice. My top three were:
1) Tax law (math? lol!)
2) Entertainment law (Is this because I can give a rundown of Lindsay Lohan's legal troubles?)
3) Criminal law (see above)
Where was this quiz? I need help before I rage withdraw and tryout for big brother.

I like hiking, so that makes me think environmental law, but I also like reading, so maybe copyright law? Food law is a thing now, right?
Did anyone get the emails about historic building preservation law?

International law, apparently.
Also, what a fuckawful quiz. Which is, I guess, totally what I should have expected.

I had to lie on Ipod, t-shirt, favorite website, essential TV show, and "with a law degree I would..."
ETA: I like that they use the LSAC logo so you know it's official.

Uncomfortably close to logic I used in the past to reach that exact same decision.

I hate quizzes where you know the effect your answer will have on the outcome. I like being asked random shit and then having them base a conclusion on a totally separate subject. If I don't understand their methods it must be legit.

When are they? All I've found schedule wise is the official preview schedule, which doesn't give any gay love.

Totally not my type, by the way. Someone in another thread was saying that she uses celebrity look-alikes for her 'tars so I thought that was the thing. I'm not sure how much longer I can take him though...
