Wasn't going to apply to Chicago but got a fee waiver.

I noticed that they say not to attach a separate DS. What are yalls thoughts on this?
I honestly would not go there if I got into just about any of its peer schools or better(the Windy City says it all) so it's not that serious but I like to present the best app I can...

If you're dead set on sending in a DS, could you somehow morph your DS into a PS? My DS is a lot shorter so I revised it a bit and used it as my PS for a few schools that had a shorter page/word limit than my original PS allowed.

Make sure you've got something in your PS that at least hints at how you'd add diversity to the class.

I submitted a DS and got accepted, so I'm not sure how much it harms your application, if it harms it at all. Just make sure it's not poorly written and you'll probably be fine. Also, FWIW we have similar stats.

I submitted a DS and got accepted, so I'm not sure how much it harms your application, if it harms it at all. Just make sure it's not poorly written and you'll probably be fine. Also, FWIW we have similar stats.

I felt the same way you did about UChicago...and told myself the same thing about still wanting to submit the best app possible. I was about to submit a DS until I did some last-minute TLS searching and decided to make my DS into a PS. In the end, I was still happy with what they saw and I just got in this week. Doesn't seem to have hurt Fresh though. But true...just make sure that if you're going to send both that they're well-written, free of errors/repetitive information, etc.

Sophie, to be quite frank your cycle is a bit confounding. There is absolutely no reason at all for you to be rejected from H or S, let alone Chicago. I do hope you get one of H and/or S. With your numbers, it would extremely be well deserved. Hang in there, I wish you nothing but the best of luck with the rest of your cycle!!!

Hey all my fellow URMs! I've been surfing around here for a little while and I've finally decided to suck it up and post. I can see how TLS consumes lives, and I am totally down for my life to be consumed!

I'm URM female, 160, 3.5, T25, 3 yrs WE . I sent out my applications RD in early-mid November to the schools listed in my stats. I've been accepted to GW and Fordham. Still waiting on the majority. I really want Columbia/NYU as I'm not looking to leave NYC.

I'm mainly interested in NYC BigLaw - IP (Entertainment), but wouldn't be devastated if my career path were to deviate from my current goals. I have 3 yrs WE in music licensing and definitely intend to stay in the whole copyright law vicinity.

Quick question, I just received fee waivers from Penn and Northwestern. I originally planned on applying to both, but those fees were killin me...and the extra essays for Penn were a deterrence to my fatigued brain at the time. Do you think it is too late in the game to send these - considering I would still need to set up an interview for N and write additional essays for Penn? Especially with my lower #s it may be too late to even be considered...I would love to have your opinions.

Lastly, congrats everyone on all the acceptances!!!! Let's keep em coming

Do you think it is too late in the game to send these - considering I would still need to set up an interview for N and write additional essays for Penn? Especially with my lower #s it may be too late to even be considered...I would love to have your opinions.

Definitely send out your apps to those schools and see what happens.

I don't have any news... and it is making me crazy! Is anyone else more than a little obsessed with apps right now? It's like waiting for my LSAT score, but much much worse. Whenever I get a large envelope in the mail I freak out like it is an acceptance - but it's usually life insurance paperwork or something equally lame.

I think I got a little spoiled with that acceptance via Duke priority track so early. I'm still waiting for decisions from: Lewis & Clark, Berkeley, UCLA, USC, UT, UVA, Penn, Boston U, Chicago and Michigan. Uggg.

Sorry everyone, this post has no purpose except to vent and reassure myself that I'm not the only one who logs into EVERY status checker EVERY day. Sometimes twice a day, if I'm honest.

You're DEFINITELY not the only one! Except it's worse for me now because I've heard back from almost everywhere, so now it only takes 2 seconds to check my status checker and then I feel empty and don't know what to do anymore. Law school apps create a long and dangerous world to being pathetic...
