sounds like pretty good news, especially if they're being proactive about asking you for things.

Looks like I'll be joining some of you in NYC for SEO in a few weeks. I'm so glad they didn't give me my first choice of the Bay Area since things didn't work out with Stanford. Plus, I have family in NY, so I don't have to search for housing. Everything worked out well after all.

edit: Never mind, I looked again and it seems that NYC was my top choice.

I finally got a sort of answer from Columbia. Basically, I wasn't held, but they asked for a few more weeks to make a decision. I just asked that they withdraw my application since I already made a choice. I'm officially done with my cycle.

Yes. Yes, you did. You're comin' with me to H-town, because I was promised a book club.

I will be riding the Harvard waitlist for sure. I'm also going to stay on at NYU and Columbia just to see what happens. However, I have deposited at USC after they bumped up my scholarship. I know a lot of people are going to hate that decision but it is an extremely good option for my particular goals.

I'm glad to see that this cycle is winding down for everyone!

In that case, I guess I'll bring the doughnuts.

Is anyone other than Zero considering a retake to get off a WL? I have a good LSAT score (172+) but I'm thinking about June. I'd really love to get off the WL at Stanford or get a ton of money at Chicago.

Thoughts? Am I crazy?

Nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain. I don't see any problems with this plan unless the extra study time would interfere with other pressing matters.

Logic, good for you! You're gonna be fine. And going for free (or close to it) is never a bad option.
