I wish this thread was more active. It looks like its about time for the 2011-2012 URM In/WL/Out thread :(

..But on the other hand, that means the 2012-2013 thread will be coming soon. :D :D :D

I GOT WAITLISTED AT YALE AND AM THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF. Crazy to be so excited about a WL, but such is life!
Any new admits or interview invites from Harvard?

It really is a shame that this thread isn't more active. I am waitlisted at Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Is there anyone else that has been accepted or is currently waitlisted at this school?

Cylon, I'm interested to know why you chose not to apply to H. Did you just not feel like your LSAT was high enough, or was there a different reason?

alright, let's try to reply correctly this time.

I didn't apply to Harvard because, knowing myself, I don't think I'd be happy there; I study best when happy. There's no point in being discontent at a top 3 LS when I can go to a t14 that has all the journals/clinics/classes that interest me and where I can be happy.

My cycle exceeded my stats, and even without a score bump, there was a decent chance I would have been accepted to Harvard - or wl'd. Then would have come the tough decision of choosing prestige or happiness. So, I decided to avoid that potential decision all together.

I've been stalking all of the boards to see if there have been any recent Temple updates, and I just wanted to tell you guys I have never seen a more encouraging board. Unlike all of the blatantly condescending and abrasive posts filling the various other boards, you all maintained a positive discussion. I don't post ever, but I was honestly just shocked. It's nice to see that some people don't get off on crushing their fellow applicants' spirits. Congratulations to you all!
