I read the bolded as "snapchat".
I thought a couple of us would also be chilling at the Boalt ASW?

yessir! Will you be at CLS or HLS as well?
Cool! And no. I'm down to three schools and NYU is one of them. Can't believe I'm at this point but CLS and HLS are not in that group.

I'm debating on whether to go CLS and NYU ASW, but after ASWs for the past two weekends along with dealing with life stuff I'm kind of burnt out. I may have to visit on my own time.

yes please give us more info such as school deposited at, city you applied for, which URM you are. Congrats though!!! that's big news!
Sure thing!
I will attend UChicago Law School. I am a Non-URM Hispanic. I applied for an internship in New York City. I submitted my seat deposit in January. I interviewed in early March.
I hope that helps!
ETA: I did not have a follow-up interview.
Also, as a heads-up: be prepared to know the dates of all your events that could potentially conflict with your SEO Internship. Upon acceptance, they ask that you send them those dates immediately.

I have a new job so I am working a lot. The thread does seem like it died out though. Maybe its the decisions everyone is faced with.

I am guessing this is it.
I am on the fence for quite a few schools (regarding admissions decisions), so I have nothing new to add.

Yeah I'm visiting NYU, but I think I'm sitting this cycle out and retaking. I'm having trouble convincing myself to take on the debt. I wish everyone the best with their decisions, though. And who knows, maybe NYU will be so great that I can't resist.

Really? What would have been a good outcome for you this time around? What are your current options?

A good outcome for me would have been at least half tuition at one of my top choices, which I didn't receive at any. UCLA almost gave me that, but I don't know if it's worth it.
My current options are
UCLA almost half tuition
NYU
Vanderbilt (not even a third scholly)
UF(full scholarship)
Northwestern
Georgetown

My tops were NYU and Cornell(still waiting... assume it's a deny). I keep getting told to go to NYU at sticker, but I just don't think that's wise.

NYU hasn't given you a dollar? Not even need based? That's weird.
Are your goals worth going to NYU at sticker?

they gave me 10,946 dollars in need based, which is like a drop in the bucket. Big Law, possibly lateral into Fed Govt/DOJ.... or start with DOJ honors when I graduate. I'm all over the place, but know that the ultimate goal is federal govt.

This has been SUCH a slow week. I am still waiting on 3 schools (technically 4 if you count Northwestern, but I think I'm going to withdraw). We're closing in on mid-April. Lord give me strength.

Wow 10k is a small amount. I know you will decide whatever is right for you. I know I had to speak to a number of current and past students that were similar to me ( black URMs from low income backgrounds) at the school I deposited at to get a feel for the debt and how to manage. They all seem to have a pretty good plan for it that really helped me ease my concern. They also received less aid than I did so it really helped to talk to them about my concerns.

Thanks, ultimately I haven't made a decision yet. But Regardless, atleast if I do retake, I get to tell next years Cycle thread participants how awesome this thread was.... well up until April anyway
