Re: 2016-2017 SEO Corporate Law Applicants (Summer 2017)
How is everyone going about finding summer sublets in New York?
Are people looking at places outside of Manhattan?
What websites are you using? (i.e. is there some Facebook page that is better than Craigslist)
How much are you guys looking to pay?

Depending on where you live it's anywhere from $2000-$4000 for the entire summer.Nacho_Verde wrote:Do you have an estimate on that?HarvardHopeful95 wrote:Hey all,
For anyone doing SEO in Washington, DC, I've heard that Washington Intern Student Housing provides pretty reasonably priced housing

I'm from the city & you can PM me. I suggest choosing queens, long island city, and harlem & Westchester (white plains), over midtown or even Brooklyn. Cheaper, and some places are <30 minutes from grand central station.eli_1812 wrote:How is everyone going about finding summer sublets in New York?

I'm likely outing myself but w/e: some firms may have earlier start dates for their SEO interns, e.g. starting the week before NYC and then continue after the SEO training.

I haven't even received the offer letter yet but SEO contacted me and said they may be able to help with short-term housing for a week. lol I'm hella stressed because I already gave notice at work and now it's like "SURPRISE leaving over a week earlier than what I said" (only last week did I mention law school too lol)azaleafire wrote:A) does this mean firm placements are rolling out today?renc56 wrote:I'm likely outing myself

Re: 2016-2017 SEO Corporate Law Applicants (Summer 2017)
oof. that's rough. But there's those of us who gave notice (and just shared law school plans) last week and are still waiting to hear back from SEO. So it's like, "I may be leaving first week of August, buuuuttt if I get this internship, I may be leaving in three weeks. I'll let you know when I know..."renc56 wrote:I haven't even received the offer letter yet but SEO contacted me and said they may be able to help with short-term housing for a week. lol I'm hella stressed because I already gave notice and now it's like "SURPRISE leaving over a week earlier than what I said" (only last week did I mention law school too lol)azaleafire wrote:A) does this mean firm placements are rolling out today?renc56 wrote:I'm likely outing myself

This is exactly why I asked. I've seen it both ways on other peoples' Linkedins.dietcoke1 wrote:RT. I like the way summer associate soundspoptart123 wrote:So are we an SEO Summer Associate or a SEO Intern. Linkedin/Resume thoughts anybody?

I was hoping that the firm would mention our position name when we get our placement. Then I would just use whatever they say you are.poptart123 wrote:This is exactly why I asked. I like this actually. It does sound better.call-me-bubbles wrote:It's called the SEO Law Fellowship Program, so I'd just say "SEO Law Fellow." "Fellow" also sounds way better than "intern," and I feel like it'd be misleading to say "summer associate."poptart123 wrote:So are we an SEO Summer Associate or a SEO Intern.
