Thanks for giving me continued hope. I'm terrified that I won't crack the T-14.twentypercentmore wrote:jsjd, LSN shows that minority students under both medians are sometimes held as late as April before the decisions come back.
Incidentally, last cycle there was a guy with about our numbers (hispanic URM) that only got into Cornell the whole cycle, and then Stanford accepted him in mid-April. It's not over until it's over.

Thanks for the support everyone...and to those still waiting, I honestly think this cycle will be interesting and I wish everyone the best. Damn...this forum makes me fuzzy and stuff inside (which is good, because work is killing me right now).

I would have ED'd to Hastings if it wasn't for TLS.Wormfather wrote:
In less than a month I went from "OMG, I'm not getting into law school to OMG I'm in at Harvard". Relax, if you've found you're way here, odds are that you know what you're doing and that you will end up in a good place, a place far better than you thought you would be before you found TLS.

+1. Absolutely. I had no idea about rankings, employment prospects, etc. until coming to TLS. Now I'm in at NYU and waiting for decisions from Columbia and Harvard!

I found out I got into NYU too! Currently waiting on Stanford, Yale, Harvard, and Columbia. Anything is possible.cinnamonchurros wrote:wbrother wrote: I would have ED'd to Hastings if it wasn't for TLS.

TLS has been great in helping me become more informed about employment prospects in the law profession. I honestly did not know until I started looking through the website.

Re: URM 2012-2013 Cycle... let's go!
Just got scholarship info from Temple, 15k a year as long as I stay in top 2/3 of the class. I'm in-state so tuition would only be $4,000/year, andy debt I left school with would be because I decided to splurge on an apartment. The only way I wouldn't go at this point is if another T2 school offered me full tuition (which I doubt will happen) or if I got into a T30 but so far most them either haven't looked at my application or only looked at it once, but I applied late so I guess I shouldn't be too upset about that.

I'm in the same situation. I've come to the conclusion that they're just making us wait so we appreciate it more once we're accepted.

Re: URM 2012-2013 Cycle... let's go!
I also am confused about LOCIs. I have been told by a pre-law adviser that maybe I should send them out to all the schools I haven't heard from yet now. I am particularly anxious because I have been rejected from two T14 schools already, also deferred from NYU ED. With NYU saying they will make a final decision on me in April, I think I should probably wait on that one, but I have had total radio silence for quite a while now from all the others. I also have been working for two years so I don't even have any grade updates to send. PS. Thanks to everyone for all the advice so far, very much appreciated.

Got dinged at Texas this AM. So far this is the balance:
In at NYU and Cornell, WL at GULC (withdrew after), dinged at Texas. I just want to know the rest of the schools and $$$ so I can sort out what I am going to do with my life.

An additional recommendation may help.
Honestly, given the waiting periods of many in past cycles, it is still early. Harvard comes in waves. I wouldn't send an LOCI until after March/April...by then you'd know if held, waitlisted, denied, etc.

Had your same dates and still waiting on UPenn. God pulled me to NYU so I have no reason to doubt this can happen too!

I'm starting to hate the weekends because I know for at least 2 days every week I won't hear a peep from any school. urrgh! the combination of the winter blues and my impatience is a drag. Congrats to all those in so far, I hope to join you soon!
