@Knock, thanks on the congrats, it is much appreciated. The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that I would solely like to attend YLS. If I do not get in during this cycle, I am seriously considering not attending law school this year and retaking my LSAT in order to give myself a better shot at YLS.s0ph1e2007 wrote:wolverine den, your profile says you're in at stanford??Knock wrote:Congrats Wolverine. @Sophie, yea, got the call from dean Deal on Dec 17th. Thanks on the congrats. Best of luck on your cycle.

Hey all! In at BU today, so I'm 10/10 now. But I'm only waiting on 4 schools now - all top 10 - so I feel like my luck might be hitting the end of the road...we'll see. Congrats on the other acceptances today!

Wow. Darrow Invite. Thought I was out of the running since I was accepted before the first round of invites and didnt get one.
Things are getting interesting. Im going to have to sit down and consider my assumptions for the future

You don't HAVE to submit a Darrow essay. The fewer people I have to compete against for one the better. Thanks..tkgrrett wrote:Wow. Darrow Invite. Thought I was out of the running since I was accepted before the first round of invites and didnt get one.

Re: URM 2010-2011 Application Cycle
Dinged at UVA via email today.
I knew it was a reach and I had almost no chance at getting in, but it still stings. Not the best way to start off my cycle.

Re: URM 2010-2011 Application Cycle
Retake. Especially if you performed so differently on practice tests. You could tap into some splitter-friendly schools as a result. Do you know what held you back on the day of the test?TIMEATELL wrote:Congrats to everyone on their acceptances. I just received my Dec. LSAT score and I'm not quite sure if I should apply or retake (and sit this year out). My apps are pretty much ready to go, just wrapping up my academic addendum. Here's my info:
AA male
GPA: 2.8
LSAT: 157 (first-time, but was practicing in the 164-168 range, missed 10 LG..normally miss 0)
Softs: Tons of volunteer and work experience (non-trad.), great LORs, etc.
Here was my original list (before I received my LSAT):
UVa
Cornell
Georgetown
George Washington
USC
Washington University
Emory
University of Illinois
UC Davis
UC Hastings
Case Western
University of Maryland
Loyola Marymount
University of San Francisco
Howard
University of Pacific
Are any of the these schools reasonable given my LSAT? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: URM 2010-2011 Application Cycle
I hear you. To be honest, I think I just ran out of steam. LG was the last section on my version of the test. I'm not one to complain, but this is crazy. I wish these schools weren't so hell bent on the numbers. On the flip, I should have been better prepared for ugrad and this test. Oh man..I feel like one of those dogs at Westminster...only I'm a pit bull from a rescue shelter...a dog nevertheless. I guess a retake is in order. No matter what..I'm not about to let my score deter me from reaching the next level. Appreciate the advice..
