WL at Penn today, and I'm not even mad about it. Just sad I won't get to chill with MandyJay next weekend.

Guy asking striver questions like "What do you recommend we read before going to school?" and grilling our tour guide and lady from OCS with stupid questions about the C/O 2013 employment statistics. Clearly uses TLS.mandyjay11 wrote:Tell me moreEl Principe wrote:Gunners at Texas's ASD

Why do white people automatically assume A large number of blacks in a nightclub = Ghetto = Dangerous?
And this is coming from a white guy who likes black girls..."Oh that place went down hill, its really dangerous now." Have you ever been there? "No, but from what I hear, its very dangerous."
So black = dangerous?

Skype interview with UCLA tomorrow. I'm confused as to why they even want an interview instead of Dinging me. They're notorious for high GPAs so that counts me out. Then again with all that's going on, I don't even know how I would feel if I was to get accepted.

I kind of feel like they do URM calls and other calls separately. Maybe I'm just crazy? But I feel like I've been noticing that pattern.teampeeta wrote:Any URM love from Stanford today? I saw some people got calls and emails in the other thread.

Are all of us late January completes? This wait from SLS is killing me. I don't expect good news, but that tiny, tiny glimmer of hope just doesn't let me move onisaiah1992 wrote:I kind of feel like they do URM calls and other calls separately. Maybe I'm just crazy? I am and I believe Zero is. Isaiah is not.
And I feel you. I am hoping for good news, but I'm getting less optimistic the longer I wait. Stanford is prob my first choice, though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

That's not always true. I got my call the same day as non-URM applicants.isaiah1992 wrote:I kind of feel like they do URM calls and other calls separately. Maybe I'm just crazy? Late January complete here as well. I've been refreshing frantically a few times per hour. Still UR = there is still a fighting chance.teampeeta wrote:calle_25 wrote:Are all of us late January completes? This wait from SLS is killing me. I have been pretty much waitlisted to 6 schools this cycle so I know the struggle. It happens :-/.mt2165 wrote:Wait list city in this biotch, put Penn on the list. Getting a lot of those

So what's the process for withdrawing apps? I don't see the point in riding UVAs WL.

Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
I've just emailed Admissions saying thanks for the offer of admission but I have decided not to enroll at xxxx. For waitlists, also just said thank but I have decided to withdraw my application at this time. No need to make it any longer or more elaborate than that. Other schools that I withdrew from let me do so directly online through the admitted students website.aboutmydaylight wrote:So what's the process for withdrawing apps? Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone ITT. Obviously it'd be amazing if it happens for all, but at least one of us has to get in! C'mon Stanford, show us some love!Cocoblues wrote: Late January complete here as well. I've been refreshing frantically a few times per hour. Still UR = there is still a fighting chance.

Re: URM 2013-2014 Cycle Thread
I'll probably start withdrawing from schools soon. I feel bad when alumni and current students call me and I have no questions because I'm not really interested in attending the school.
