Currently filling out my FAFSA form now (I know, I'm late). I did the original questionnaire and it said I qualify as an "independent student" which means that I don't have to answer questions about my parents according to the gov't.

Will law schools still make me fill out info about them? I am under 27 or whatever ridiculously old age before which law schools generally take your parents' financial info into account.

Anyone know?

It varies by school, but there are a few t14s that want parents' info on the fafsa.

Nope and not anyone that I know of. You have to submit all the document you would for their need-based fee waiver.

I want to withdraw from a few schools that are still reviewing/holding my apps, but for some reason, that seems rude, so I'll just wait.

I have withdrawn from 5 schools (just the ones that I 100% will not attend). It's definitely not rude if you send a polite email -- I actually think it is more thoughtful, since they don't have to spend time considering, soliciting, and mailing someone who will definitely not attend.

I did for ASW. You have to submit the fee waiver form and the subsidy is based on your distance from the school and maxes out at 300$.

Now me- I just got WL at Chicago and I'm going to write the recommended "Why Chicago" 2-pager. I have already submitted with my application an economic diversity statement that sort of weaves in Chicago, so I'm going to have to get really Chicago specific. Any advice or experience with UChicago would be grand!
Oh, and my spouse is in grad school and I have kids, so I was hoping to defer, but now it seems highly unlikely (impossible) if I were to be admitted.

Ugh waitlisted at Chicago...WL's are kinda stacking up :cry: but still waiting on a lot so I'm hopeful.
