This is fantastic! Thanks!cc78 wrote:That really depends on your GPA. If you're above 3.5, you should move forward with your 161. Good things can happen:sashafierce wrote:161 up from 153 last December, really disappointed as I was scoring in the mid to high 160s. Not sure if I should apply or sit out another year
Edit: that was my third attempt 155-153-161
Also, since there are other folks out there trying to think about what to do now that they have their December LSAT, I fiddled around with mylsn and found out the lowest GPA and lowest LSAT each t14 school took for AA candidates these past three cycles:
Yale: 3.6; 163
Harvard: 3.45; 160
Stanford: 3.5; 162
Chicago: 3.09; 154
Columbia: 3.14; 158
NYU: 3.14; 160
Penn: 3.35; 155
UVA: 3.36; 155
Berkeley: 3.06; 157
Duke: 3.3; 159
Michigan: 3.2; 158
Northwestern: 3.09; 155
Cornell: 3.1; 154
Georgetown: 3.09; 154
Keep in mind that these scores don't represent individual applicants, they are the respective "floors" for GPA and LSAT separately. So, Harvard's 3.45 GPA actually had a 169 LSAT. And, again this is just AA applicants and is just the LSN sample, which could or could not be representative.

Go for it! It is very basic, and any improvements are great. Hopefully we make it very useful, and then future cycles can copy the format.Tr3 wrote:Anyone mind if I add some conditional formatting to the spreadsheet to changed all "Accepted" to green text?
(for me, it's easier to see with color-coding)

Went ahead and color coded the Spreadsheet. Will check to make sure it continues to be correct and make any changes. If anyone sees any flaws, please feel free to make corrections!

Has anyone in this thread had any luck soliciting a waiver from NYU?

I don't think CCN have responded positively to solicitations (unless you're military or TFA or something) for merit-based waivers.Dream_weaver32 wrote:Has anyone in this thread had any luck soliciting a waiver from NYU?

I didn't think they had but wanted to make sure. Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
I feel like LSN is too small of a sample to determine much for me...
I plugged in a value of 160-170, URM excluding AA (I'm Mexican). Most of the schools only had about 4 applicants, most of which were waitlisted/rejected.
No URM boost for Mexicans?

I tried and failed with Columbia. I even mentioned being a veteran and got their standard auto-reply of "NO...But we look forward to reading your application." I know this is the wrong forum, but it'd be really nice if all schools gave the 'ole vet discount.lc39 wrote:I don't think CCN have responded positively to solicitations (unless you're military or TFA or something) for merit-based waivers.Dream_weaver32 wrote:Has anyone in this thread had any luck soliciting a waiver from NYU?

I'm MA and I feel like that has given me a bump thus far this cycle. It is hard because I also didn't find much data on LSN.Oskosh wrote:I feel like LSN is too small of a sample to determine much for me...

I think that it would be safe to say MAs get the smallest URM boost.

I'm a reverse splitter. Is it true that I will likely hear back from schools later in the cycle after they've secured the LSAT median?cc78 wrote:I'm surprised you didn't find mylsn helpful. Without knowing a ton about you, I did a general URM reverse splitter search:jw316 wrote:Can anyone point me in the direction of some good URM reverse splitter info (>75th GPA, <25th LSAT)? I did myLSN for my numbers and nothing on there. I also know I should re-take but with this cycle being weird I kind of want to toss my hat in and see what happens
Now, type of URM matters quite a bit. If you're AA:
My reading of this is that you've got a shot to get a good set of acceptances and even with money. So, why not throw the apps out there? Of course, I don't know exactly what you're working with...

U got it right my dearMadwomanintheAttic wrote:@Harvette I'm proclaiming 2 January as the day even though officially the release date is 5 Januray. I think LSAC has forced December takers to wait long enough.

I should have you predict my acceptance lol

Not necessarily. Schools have been admitting some reverse splitters (UVA comes to mind) early. But patience in general always is helpful. Plenty of cycle left.DiniMae wrote:I'm a reverse splitter. How did the lsat go for those who took the December test?
Also do we have updated numbers for test takers?

There was a link to numbers of recent test takers here that I can't find.

So much good news
What has everyone's take on the DS been? I've read a few sources that highly encourage submitting one, but I feel like my PS already touches on any points that I would write about.

Question: does anyone know if law schools see your percentile rank? My score is not impressive, but the percentile jump from first take to most recent is.

Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
I wrote a DS even though my PS did touch on some diversity points. But my central topic in both statements were different. I would say only write a PS if you think it will add to your file. I took the approach of using the PS to talk more about 'why law school' and the DS to talk about my background/circumstances. FWIW I've been accepted to a few schools, so at least some adcoms liked it.gold33 wrote:So much good news
