Said I was going to stay off of here until the spring semester started, but heard a couple of waves went out the last few days. Congrats to everyone that has gotten that long awaited call! Must be exciting ending the year with such amazing news.

Happy new year good people. I got the email from Chicago last year/yesterday btw.

I'm certain that 2015 is going to be a dream year for us.

Happy New Year to my fellow URMs. May 2015 bring acceptances to our top choices and scholarships! And for those of us waiting for December scores...One. More. Day!

@Harvette I'm proclaiming 2 January as the day even though officially the release date is 5 Januray. I think LSAC has forced December takers to wait long enough.

I did slightly worse, despite perfect scoring LG. If I hadn't gotten into Chicago yesterday I'd probably be more upset. Still disappointing, but it is what it is.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some good URM reverse splitter info (>75th GPA, <25th LSAT)? I did myLSN for my numbers and nothing on there. I also know I should re-take but with this cycle being weird I kind of want to toss my hat in and see what happens

I did exactly the same as September. I can't lie and say I'm not disappointed that I didn't improve since I felt so much better about the December test, but I am grateful I didn't do worse. I'll take it. I'm submitting apps now.

I'm surprised you didn't find mylsn helpful. Without knowing a ton about you, I did a general URM reverse splitter search:

Now, type of URM matters quite a bit. If you're AA:

My reading of this is that you've got a shot to get a good set of acceptances and even with money. So, why not throw the apps out there? Of course, I don't know exactly what you're working with...

Edit: that was my third attempt 155-153-161
That really depends on your GPA. If you're above 3.5, you should move forward with your 161. Good things can happen:

Image

Also, since there are other folks out there trying to think about what to do now that they have their December LSAT, I fiddled around with mylsn and found out the lowest GPA and lowest LSAT each t14 school took for AA candidates these past three cycles:

Yale: 3.6; 163
Harvard: 3.45; 160
Stanford: 3.5; 162
Chicago: 3.09; 154
Columbia: 3.14; 158
NYU: 3.14; 160
Penn: 3.35; 155
UVA: 3.36; 155
Berkeley: 3.06; 157
Duke: 3.3; 159
Michigan: 3.2; 158
Northwestern: 3.09; 155
Cornell: 3.1; 154
Georgetown: 3.09; 154

Keep in mind that these scores don't represent individual applicants, they are the respective "floors" for GPA and LSAT separately. So, Harvard's 3.45 GPA actually had a 169 LSAT. And, again this is just AA applicants and is just the LSN sample, which could or could not be representative.

Thanks for the info cc78. I don't have a GPA because I'm international but LSAC rated my GPA as "superior". I am just going to apply and hope for the best (FYI I have a fee waiver from LSAC so applying won't break my bank)

Anyone mind if I add some conditional formatting to the spreadsheet to changed all "Accepted" to green text?

(for me, it's easier to see with color-coding)

Sounds good to me. Make sure you apply widely in the t14 to maximize your chances for admission and scholarship negotiation.
