BUMP
To start something (maybe) substantive, what have people's experiences been dating/hooking up in law school? I can imagine this largely depends on where you went/go, but I hear often that law school is a lot like high school, with cliques and everyone knowing everyone's business about dating and hookups and the like.

Even though the average law schools tends to be more progressive than the average college, the consensus seems to be that there are only a handful of gay people in every class. You're probably going to have to outsource your hookups, which sounds a lot healthier than the incestuousness associated with law school and b-school.moonman157 wrote:BUMP

That's what I kinda figured. Though I can imagine that the atmosphere of intense sexual repression can make for some hot, guilt-ridden gay sex at schools like Liberty Law (the key word being imaginealwayssunnyinfl wrote:Even though the average law schools tends to be more progressive than the average college, the consensus seems to be that there are only a handful of gay people in every class. Re: GLBT: C/O 2015, Grindr/Manhunt, and More
I go to a small T14 and hooking up with classmates is a definite no-no. Hell, it would be a bad idea even in a large class, but at least then there's a small chance of being able to avoid the person you hooked up with (assuming not a sectionmate).
It's also a big campus, though, so meeting other grad students is pretty easy especially if you don't live in the law school dorms. Not quite so easy to meet people off-campus, though, because the campus itself is a little secluded.
I've been very pleasantly surprised by the closeness of the LGBT student community at my law school. It's small but pretty tight, and I can approach any of them for hanging out or advice. I actually know the 2L/3L gays better than some 1L gays because the 1Ls tend to hang out with their sectionmates, and the 2L/3L gays made a really strong effort to connect with the 1Ls.

I have managed to hook up with one upperclassmen without any obvious social repercussions and have some mutual interest with another one in terms of actual dating. I wouldn't mess with the 1L pool though... little too close to home.moonman157 wrote:BUMP

Also, if we're turning this into a dating (though gay dating means hook-up) service, then I am a straight-acting LAX bro looking to chill and keep it real with some masculine dudes, and see what goes from there. Not into fatties, fems, blacks, or asians, sorry i'm not a racist, i'm just not into that
