Don't worry about the timing of your interview. I deferred so my entire cycle was done before I even applied and I still didn't get an interview until January (even though I applied in like August/September).

Do I have to "Submit" the LAW section after I submit the application? Or just keep hitting "Save Draft" as I hear back from schools? So far, I only listed 1 school with an acceptance and 5 that I'm waiting on.
For those who've gotten interviews, what did you do with your LAW section?

Hit submit as it updates SEO as you hear from schools. SEO does keep track. Good luck!sashafierce wrote:Interested in this as well.DiniMae wrote:Do I have to "Submit" the LAW section after I submit the application? How necessary is the picture? Will they ask for one if you didn't initially submit one?

It's required for firm placement. Firms get to see your picture. It is also used during the Corporate Law Institute for cold calling by professors. Pictures are arranged based on where you're seated during class session.DiniMae wrote:How necessary is the picture? Will they ask for one if you didn't initially submit one?

Not that I'm hiding, but should I get a pic taken and send it to them now? Or wait until they ask? It said optional and I wanted to turn in my app before the deadline.Apsara wrote:It's required for firm placement. Firms get to see your picture. I waited until I was accepted to send a photo but that was only because I didn't want to pay for a professional headshot without an offer. They will send you a reminder email following your acceptance. You'll have about a week to send it in.DiniMae wrote:Not that I'm hiding, but should I get a pic taken and send it to them now? Can you borrow a shirt, tie, and jacket for the interview?FairchildFLT wrote:Just got the interview invite. I don't own a suit...all I own are combat boots...
If you're applying for SEO, you know you'll have to buy suits right?

Yeah if selected...I don't plan on spending any money for something that is not a guarantee. I'm not even 100% sure I can get out of the military fast enough to take the internship if I was offered.

Ooo ok. Well congrats and I hope you're able to transition early enough to participate! Would you be able to take leave for the NYU Orientation after Mem Weekend and then maybe just start at the firm a little later in the summer?FairchildFLT wrote:Yeah I'll be able to get stuff.DiniMae wrote:Can you borrow a shirt, tie, and jacket for the interview?FairchildFLT wrote:Just got the interview invite.
