Also currently in the program. It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Definitely do SEO if you can.isaiah1992 wrote:I echo this! I will add that SEO also recruits from outside the T14. There are 80+ of us this year and though most are attending Harvard, there are some from UCLA, UTexas, GW and Emory. The training has been amazing and the events engaging. We have SEO events about once a week where attorneys and partners come to speak to us on topics such as "What is Corporate Law", etc. after which we ask questions and then network over food and drink. This is separate from firm events that we are invited to. If you're part of SEO, there is no time for rest.
Our firm placements have also been great. I know a few SEO interns whose firm is taking them to the Beyonce/Jay Z concert this weekend. Another firm took their associates and SEO interns to the NBA Draft. I'll discuss more after it's over but if you get SEO, JUST DO IT.
Good luck this cycle!!

Is anyone doing/has anyone thought of doing the SEO Law program in Washington, D.C. who might be willing to share how they feel about the program? And in general, how you feel about the application process? I went through the SEO process for asset management (or something like that) not knowing at all what I was getting into and don't think I ever fully understood it, so I think I want to be prepared this time around if I do get into a law school I want to go to and decide to apply.

Still chipping away at LSAT prep. I'll be so happy when this phase is over. On another note,,is anyone attending any LSAC Forums? Or been to one? I'm considering attending the one in Chicago, but I'm not sure how beneficial it will be. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

This is pretty much where I'm at too, but I haven't even started studying again yet =/ I'm trying to get my diversity+ personal statements done this week. I wrote my Personal Statement a while back but it has diversity aspects in it so I need to figure out how to either change it or find something new to write about for my diversity statement.180kickflip wrote:This is pretty much where I'm at too, but I haven't even started studying again yet =/ I'm trying to get my diversity+ personal statements done this week. Re: URM 2014-2015 Cycle Thread
Statement writing is SOOOO much more annoying than LSAT studying for me right now.
Was supposed to be done with both personal and diversity by last weekend, but I'm still lost. Now I have a 2 page "something" written that touches on a bunch of diversity points but not enough academic/law points. No idea what to do with it. Arghh

Save your statements for when you're being super neurotic during the waiting period after taking the LSAT. Up until then, it should be only studying, unless of course inspiration strikes.180kickflip wrote:Statement writing is SOOOO much more annoying than LSAT studying for me right now.

I know this is TCR, but it's hard as hell to just stop when it's unfinished. I'm gonna try to listen tho. I know I'll kick myself if I blow September over a few relatively unimportant paragraphsMTH2 wrote:Save your statements for when you're being super neurotic during the waiting period after taking the LSAT. What did you write about in your diversity statement if you don't mind me asking?I'm having trouble writing one that would be different from my personal statement.pdt1765 wrote:Is anyone done with their DS yet? Willing to trade with someone.
