I didn't ride out Penn's waitlist because I feel like Georgetown is a better fit for me. I want to do soft IP stuff and hopefully I can do something with entertainment and Georgetown just seemed better for that. Both schools had great IP programs but Georgetown had more of a entertainment/media focus, even when I was looking at firms who had strong entertainment/media/sports law practices I saw more Georgetown grads and hardly any Penn grads. I was trying to write LOCI's last week and Penn was the only one that I was having trouble coming up with reasons as to why I wanted to go, I was pretty much coming up with, "It's Penn and Penn is awesome," whereas with Georgetown I wound up cutting things out because my letter of continued interest was turning into a novel of continued interest.

No. However, no one ever confirmed my request to be taken off the WL. So... maybe I'm still on it?
