I just got an email asking me to interview from Georgetown. Is this a good thing? I definitely am going to interview, has anyone done one of these?

It is for borderline applicants. I interviewed and then was accepted. It means they want to know more about you... just prepare like you would for any other ls admissions interview (why law? why georgetown? etc etc) and you will do fine. Mine was extremely laid back, but the alumnus I interviewed with was pretty damn chill/cool.thegrayman wrote:I just got an email asking me to interview from Georgetown. Is this a good thing? It means you are a borderline candidate. Roughly 1/3 of interviewees get accepted and 2/3 get waitlisted (2% or so do get rejected).thegrayman wrote:I just got an email asking me to interview from Georgetown. Is this a good thing? I definitely am going to interview, has anyone done one of these?
It's an informal interview with an alum. How it goes depends on that alum.

I have all the respect in the world for Pless, but I was definitely surprised when I got the ding email. No hard feelings though--I don't feel entitled to anything and he does a damn good job at implementing a vision for Illinois. If he felt I wouldn't be a good part of that vision, then I trust his judgment and will carry on with my other applications.jd20132013 wrote:Congrats
Were you surprised that a school like Illinois rejected you when you were clearly very competitive there? I mean even without any boost you're right at their medians...

Joining the URM party!

So far in at Alabama (24K/year) and Washington & Lee, and interviewing at Georgetown in a couple of weeks. Wish me luck! I'm way below both medias so this is my hail mary.

Well, I guess I can go ahead and finally post in this thread.
In at OSU and it's my first acceptance. I'm still waiting to hear from about twenty other schools, and I consider the vast majority of them to be reaches. So, this should be interesting lol
Congratulations to all those who have been accepted and good luck to everybody waiting on other schools.

Congrats, but you know you're not going there numbers twin LOL. Someway, somehow, given how our cycles are going, we are going to end up at the same school.timmna wrote:Just got into IU with a full ride!!
