Thank you!

And to be honest, not as low as would be expected by the TLS hivemind. Really only behind H,S,Col,N & Boalt.

Haha knock on wood, but I'll submit the yale mary when I feel okay about my 250

However, I'd choose H over Y if it came down to that divine choice

I feel like Y is moving slow on URM apps. I guess no one has wowed them yet. The small size of their URM community definitely is a drawback to me...15 AAs and 16 Latinos (including MA/PR and non UR groups) in their current 1L year.

LC, we're on the same page when it comes to Yale. I think the abysmally small URM population and from what I understand not a large minority community in New Haven makes it a drawback for me.

Haven't really thought about that tbh. Half of my family is white, though, so it really wouldn't be a big deal to me.

Boston has a horrible reputation as a really racist place.

Yeah I mean it's a side effect of the smallness of Y in general. I think there are more important factors to consider and I've been living in an overwhelmingly white area most of my life so law school won't really be an adjustment.

Sad to hear about Boston. I don't want to talk about Palo Alto before I hear from S but I will share my thoughts on the area later in the cycle...

Thanks for all the congrats!

And yeah I'm not saying we should all take day-trips down to Southie, but Cambridge doesn't really feel like everyone's ruminating on the bussing fiasco. I'm just not that into spending 3 years in New Haven haha. But who am I kidding, maybe I'm just telling myself that because my chance of admission is remarkably low

This. Boston and Cambridge could not be more different places. You don't take day trips to Southie, you NEVER GO to Southie.

Cambridge is funky and communist and cool.

Oh no worries. Basically, the townies (natives of the neighborhoods around the university) aren't too fond of the prissy college kids coming into their area, and are known to be pretty hostile at times, especially when alcohol's involved. They're not all bad ofcourse, but I'm always weary of them. It doesn't have to be an entirely racism based thing either, just hostility from the hometown heroes
